Does one person's help matter ?
There is a short story within the Odia & Telugu versions of the epic “Ramayana“. When Ram was building a stone bridge to Lanka, many monkeys, elephants, deer & crows contributed.
The most surprising of them all was a little squirrel. He would jump into the sea water, then roll on the sand so that the sand stuck to its fur. He would then run to the bridge and shake off the sand on it.
While others found his enthusiasm annoying, Ram picked him up & comforted him (creating the stripes on his back).
All of us could be like the little squirrel. Doing our small bit in the larger scheme of things. The most important aspect here is our intention, our work & our attitude to help unconditionally!
